Another outside run down the middle of 1300 West.  Although I almost got hit by a car who didn't bother stopping to make a right turn two streets north from JohnnyV's street.  Since I'm blogging, it is not hard to figure out that I did manage to successfully take evasive action.  I remained calm, but nothing compared to this guy.

1) 8:10 steep uphill from my house down by the river; 2) 7:19; 3) 7:15; 4) 6:49; 5) 6:58; 6) 6:53; 7) 6:51; 8) 6:48; 9) 7:05; 10) 7:01; 11) 7:43; 12) 7:31; 13) 7:32; 14) 7:15; 15) 7:33; 16) 7:50; 17) 8:05; 18) 8:02; 19) 8:03; 20) 8:12; 21) 8:21; 22) 7:55.

Average HR first 10, 150, second 12, 142 too low.

Left foot is holding up, though I could feel a little tendon fatigue towards the latter part of the run so I didn't push the pace, even though I felt like I had more in me and which my heart rate data confirmed.  I wanted to run strong for the first 10 then back off for the remainder focusing on just spending some decent time on my feet.  The first 10 is a very slight net downhill.  Very pleasant morning.

p.m 8 equivalent on the elliptical.

Nice run...Wow crazy scary...I am happy to hear the car missed you. Did you scare the driver? Did they stop to see if you were ok?

That's one sweet run Paul. Good distance and good speedy miles.

Happy that you're still intact.

22 miles??? That is some serious distance there. How were you able to run that long and still feel like you had more to give at the end? Especially with so many of your miles in the 6s? I felt like I was so done after 18 yesterday. I wish I were in as good of shape as you. I have so much work to do before SGM, but when I start pushing the miles my hip starts acting up. I'm not sure if it's the miles or the speedwork though. Hmmm ... any advice?

Glad your evasive action skills were in tact. Scary stuff.

Seriously -- awesome job on your run. That is some crazy speed to be running with such a low heart rate. Very nice!

Great mile splits, and a ton of miles, nice work.

Nice job Paul. What a day.

Great run, Paul. I can never pull off that kind of speed on long runs.

Great safe running practices!

Great Run. Sorry about my idiot neighbor. What was he driving, maybe I know him? He was probably mad because he had to go to a church meeting. Wait, maybe it was me...

Holy cow, outside running?

30 Miles on Sunday? I was happy just to get my rest dude. Way to go.

I like how he just takes a picture instead of seeing if they need help.

From Smooth on Mon, Aug 10, 2009 at 14:54:37 from 71.36.77.96

WOW, your mileage scares me. Gotta watch out for those Sunday drivers, I tell ya! I have encounter many "don't look right or stop when turning right" drivers. Glad your evasive power was intact.

AWESOME run!
