Well it has been ages since I blogged.  Fort those who may remember me, in January 2011 (yes it has been over a year) I had the first of three (January 31, April 8, and August 26) Fat/PRP injections into my left achilles tendon.

On Monday of this week I did another follow-up visit with my physician.  As background, I will say that I have finally started to feel quite a bit better.  When I wake up most mornings the pain/stiffness is much more minimal than it has been now for almost two years.  I even went to the outdoor retailer convention where I got a pair of black Altra Instinct with the hopes that I might soon be cleared to run again.  However, although I continue to make progress as confirmed on the ultrasound images, my achilles is still painful to the touch, and I have not been cleared to run.  Of course, I could just run through the discomfort and pain, but that's what caused the damage in the first place.  Because my goal is to actually regenerate the achilles tendon and heal, it seems likely that I will lose another season of running.

p.m. 60 minutes elliptical.

You and Peyton Manning should go bowling! Good luck with the achilles.

Hey Pauls back. Hurray!! I thought they were suppose to inject the fat into your achilles?

You've gained a couple pounds.

Good to hear from you Paul. I'm sending positive thoughts out to your achilles.

Welcome back Paul. Sorry to hear you are still not cleared for running, but at least you are making progess. Are you still a cross training machine?

Welcome back! although you've never really gone away, you have been greatly missed! Thanks for the update!

So sorry to hear that you haven't been cleared to run. You are super patient!!! I am very proud of you! Sending positive healing vibes to your achilles that it will regenerate well and back to 100% soon. Have you been able to do other exercise?

Hey Paul. I'm so glad you're back. When you left I tried to take your place as the coolest blogger, but I failed miserably. I was exposed for the fraud that I am. Now I can go back to be the dorky blogger I was when I first joined.

Nice to see some signs of life from you Mr chubby boy Paul. I really hope that achilles gets going with the regeneration and gets chubbier as well.

Glad to see a post from you, it has been a long time. I still have your bib from Ogden. Thanks again for letting me run for you last year. Hope it's you this year running it and not me. :)

Yippie! Welcome back Paul!

Now we know that is not really you in the picture. I found a recent and real picture of Paul- http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMjA3NzE4MjQyOV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMjM1MzgxNw@@._V1._SY317_CR131,0,214,317_.jpg

Hey Paul, you almost look like me now! ;) ;) Why oh why does running have to give us so much torture to our hearts when we can't have it?! Stupid thing anyway. And another question...why does no other form of exercise else on earth feel like running?! Hang in there! :)
