5 stinkin 40!!!

You're insane!!!

From Cal on Tue, Feb 10, 2009 at 13:34:50

I'll have to jack up the back of my treadmill and try out one of those decline runs... but i doubt a 5:40 is in the works for me.

From RivertonPaul on Tue, Feb 10, 2009 at 13:40:52

For some reason its seems I can go much faster downhill compared to what might be an equivalent effort uphill. It may be psychological.

From rhett on Tue, Feb 10, 2009 at 14:43:28

5:40 at a 3% incline at the end of a 8 miler!!! Great job. Oh, I just figured out it was a 3% decline. Still great work, your quads might be hating you tomorrow though.

From Rachel on Tue, Feb 10, 2009 at 18:22:19

Wow, if I can run like that on a decline, I'm there! I've really got to try this. Thanks again for the advice.

What is a strike class?

Are you running Ogden again this year?

From RivertonPaul on Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 11:25:36

Jon,

Strike is a combination kick boxing cardio class at my gym (Lifetime Fitness) which includes weighted gloves, weighted bars and jumpropes.

I am planning on Ogden, as well as the grand slam again.

From RivertonPaul on Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 20:06:39

Jon,

Guess I didn't register in time for Ogden, which is now sold out. That really puts a kink in my plans to Slam.

From Jon on Wed, Feb 11, 2009 at 21:25:59

Don't they let you in if you are doing the slam? I would send them an email- I bet they would let you in.
